Day 7 – Bet 1

Raonic v Cilic

These two have such a similar play style, big serves and power hitting. Both very experienced in slams and both capable of winning this. Cilic has struggled to win without dropping a set, and Raonic hasn’t dropped a set yet this tournament. He had Tsitsipas completely covered, but the inexperience by him to not be able to adapt to Raonic’ serve showed why Raonic is one of the best. Cilic is a repeat offender when it comes to making it to the Round of 16. This match is definitely not going to be a walk in the park for either player. Potential 5 setter here. Nothing separates the two.

Sandgren v Fognini

Sandgren has had an incredible run this Australian Open taking our Berrettini and Querrey, both big upsets and Fognini could be his 3rd scalp. Fognini played two long 5 setters but still managed to come out and 3-0 Pella. Fitness is definitely not an issue for the Italian, but Sandgren is still a threat here. Having upset him 3-0 at Wimbledon last year, Sandgren is definitely here to play, and this match could very much go the distance. Wimbledon is a lot faster on the grass which gave Sandgren the advantage, here on hard courts it’s still fast but a bit slower, making this almost dead even. Fognini’ experience in the clutch could get it done late in the match. 4 or 5 sets today.

Day 7 – Bet 2

Jabeur v Wang

Wang leads the h2h 2-0 here and winning both comfortably in straight. After a big upset over Serena Williams, Wang will have full confidence looking to advance here. Jabeur has played well, and somehow got pass some good players in tough 3 set matches. Wang is far too good and Jabeur will struggle in this matchup.

Barty v Riske

No one can knock for the form of Ash Barty, absolute weapon and doesn’t look like slowing down. Alison Riske can play though, having beat her at Wimbledon last year. But Wimbledon is so much faster and I don’t think it suits Barty’s game. Conditions are much slower here and Barty takes full advantage of that with her sharp defence. Barty to advance.
