The Browns played out an ugly 32 point loss, albeit against the reigning MVP and a very solid Ravens side. Turnovers on the first 2 possessions and then their performance was best summed up by the sequence of events in the second quarter leading to a 3rd and 41 (!!!) OBJ was called for a face-mask, then Mayfield had an incomplete pass (that was nearly intercepted), then for sacked before a delay game which ultimately equalled a 3rd and 41.
Joe Burrow was impressive in his NFL debut, against a good Chargers defence, and grew into the game as it went on. That final drive was executed the poise of an NFL veteran (only to be let down by his kicker missing a 30-yard chip shot). There will be plenty of mistakes this season as with any rookie but there were promising signs and the Bengals look set to be an exciting side.
The lines for this match-up are pretty well set. We are anticipating a relatively tight affair that should come down to the final stages of the match.
