ANALYSIS:
Both teams have put up 20+ in all 4 games thus far this year with scores of 21,28,33 and 27 for the Seahawks and 30,27,20 (against a good Browns D) and 40 for the Rams. Now Goff and the Rams offence in particular has been the subjected to much criticism through the 1st month of the season, for example last week Goff threw just the 22nd 500+ yard passing game in NFL (post merger) history. However he ranked 3rd last in QB rating and 2nd last in Yards Per Attempt and of course threw 3 interceptions (inc. 1 pick-six) and that fumble which was returned for the touchdown to close out the game. It’s fair to say that the offence isn’t quite firing on all cylinders as many predicted the Rams would be able to again this year, and that is partly due to issues with their running game, forcing Goff to throw more. Yet despite that they still managed 117 points through the 1st month and will only improve, too much negatively is being directed towards Goff and co. whilst their defence has been the most troubling aspect this season.
Defensively both of these teams have had issues this year and stylistically match up poorly against the oppositions offence. That is why in their two meetings last year we saw a whopping 131 combined points! The Rams won both of these affairs 33-31 and 36-31 in Seattle and LA respectively.
