ANALYSIS:
The Chiefs come in off back to back losses to the Texans and Colts, managing 24 and 13 points in those two games respectively. Mahomes is clearly affected by this ankle injury which has severely limited his ability to extend plays and get out of the pocket, limiting his ability to make those deep passes he is renown for. Furthermore, their offensive line, which is weak at the best of time and continues to struggle with injuries – which should pose big problems against a good pass rush of the Broncos who are coming off a shutout against the Titans.
Denver have offensive injuries of their own with Ja’Wuan James expected to miss and Sanders and Leary under injury clouds all week. After starting 0-4 the Broncos and Flacco have picked up and won two on the trot, however this has been thanks primarily to excellent defensive performances. They have only scored more than 20 points once this season, with the 22nd ranked passing offence and 14th ranked rushing offence.
